I am starting a new series Social and Economic Sustainability for Business 101 where I will go through the the foundations that inform how I describe Social and Economic Sustainability for business.
Sustainability has three pillars, Environment, Social and Economic, which come from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The image shows all 17 goals. In this series I will classify the goals into social and economic categories and discuss why I have a strategic focus on specific goals for business. Social and economic Sustainability underpins all goals, but I will draw a hard line for understanding.
This is my view.
