Many sceptics on Sustainability and ESG have often said both are a fad that will pass. I was invited to an investor session last year. In his talk, a Managing Director of a high-profile asset management company said that it (ESG and Sustainable investing) would die down by the end of 2022.
According to data from Morningstar, assets in sustainable funds grew 53 per cent year-on-year to $2.74tn in 2021. That MD was wrong, and sustainable investing will continue to increase.
